Playable Card is a product of Threadlimit LLC of Saint Albans, Vermont. "We" below means Threadlimit LLC.
Photos never leave your device. Background removal and pixelation run in your browser. The original photo is not uploaded, not stored, and not seen by us.
What is stored. When you publish, four small pixel-art PNGs (the sprites and the link-preview image) and the text you typed (names, jokes, lines, message) are stored so the link works for the person you send it to. Play pages count views, plays and wins with no personal identifiers.
Payment. Stripe handles the card. We receive the email you gave Stripe and the amount, to attach the receipt to the game. We never see card numbers.
Deletion. Email the address on the receipt with the game link and it will be removed.
Children. If a game features a child, you as the maker are responsible for having the right to use their likeness. Sprites are low-resolution pixel art, but they are still stored; delete on request as above.
Advertising measurement. On the pages where you browse and buy, we use the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure which ads lead to purchases and to show our ads to people like our buyers. What Meta receives: your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you view, the actions you take here (starting checkout, buying, emailing a card, signing in), Meta's own cookie identifiers, and, after a purchase, a one-way hash of the email you gave Stripe. Meta processes this under its own policy. Under California and similar state laws this is "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and under Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and similar laws it is "targeted advertising". We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly share the information of anyone under 16.
Your choices. Use to turn advertising measurement off or on. The choice is stored in a cookie on that browser for 12 months. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out everywhere, not only where the law requires it. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Quebec nothing is loaded until you say yes. Blocking the pixel with a browser extension works too and does not affect the site.
Play pages. No advertising trackers are loaded on play pages. The person you send a game to did not choose to visit us, and we do not measure them.
Your rights. Depending on where you live you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or opt out of targeted advertising, and you can appeal a decision. Email [email protected]; we answer within 45 days and never treat you differently for asking.
