A Birthday game starring your son

A boy's birthday game is the one he shows every kid at school. His face on the hero, dinosaurs for weapons, bedtime as the boss, and Easy mode so he wins. Leo vs Bedtime on this page is the same game made for a six-year-old; play it to see how it feels.

The message at the end is from you, and he will read it himself. It works on a tablet, there is nothing in it except what you wrote, and it keeps playing without a connection once it has opened, which matters in the back of the car.

Example: Leo vs Bedtime, playing itself. Tap to take over. Yours has their face and your jokes.

Bosses that work for a son

  • Bedtime · the boss that comes every night
  • The Broccoli · the great standoff
  • The Tidy-Up Monster · it lives under the bed

Jokes that land

Three inside jokes become the taunts. For a son, think the great broccoli standoff, the dinosaur names he knows better than you, or the one joke he tells every day. You can rewrite every line.

Start with a photo

Free to make and play. $9.99 only when you send the link.

On the day

Send the link at midnight so it is the first thing they open, or hold it for the table and let them play it while the cake comes out. If there is a paper card anyway, the QR code goes inside it. For $4.99 more we print a postcard with the game on the front and post it, which turns one present into two.

The photo

A photo of him smiling at the camera. School photos work well. The cut-out handles missing teeth.

Difficulty

Pick Easy: five hearts, slow shots, and the boss waits until they throw once.

Questions people ask

Can I send it on the day itself?
Yes. The link is live the moment you pay, and the game takes about two minutes to make, so a birthday you forgot until breakfast is still on time.
Is it safe for a child?
There is nothing in the game except what you write. No ads, no chat, no sign-up for the person playing. The link is private unless someone shares it.
What photo works best?
A clear head-and-shoulders shot on a plain background. Selfies are fine. Group photos are not, since we cut out one person.
Can I change it after publishing?
You can edit the lines and message from the same device you made it on. Sprites are fixed once published.
