A Birthday game starring your wife
A wife's birthday present has to be personal or it is just shopping. This is a game where she is the hero, the laundry mountain is the boss, and the taunts are the holiday you never talk about and the wine glass that was not the last one. Only she will get the jokes, which is the point.
The message at the end is the card. Write it properly. She plays it once for the fight and again for the message, and if you want something on the fridge too, the printed postcard arrives a few days later as a second present.
Example: Priya vs The Laundry Mountain, playing itself. Tap to take over. Yours has their face and your jokes.
Bosses that work for a wife
- The Laundry Mountain · it never gets smaller and it is never hers
- The Calendar · the boss that runs the house
- The School Run · a boss fight every weekday at 8:10
Jokes that land
Three inside jokes become the taunts. For a wife, think the holiday we never talk about, the wine glass that was definitely not the last one, or the way she says my name when the bins have not gone out. You can rewrite every line.
Start with a photoFree to make and play. $9.99 only when you send the link.
On the day
Send the link at midnight so it is the first thing they open, or hold it for the table and let them play it while the cake comes out. If there is a paper card anyway, the QR code goes inside it. For $4.99 more we print a postcard with the game on the front and post it, which turns one present into two.
The photo
A photo she likes of herself. That matters more than lighting. Straight on, no sunglasses, and the background can be anything.
Difficulty
Normal takes a few tries, which is the point. Easy if they are likely to give up after one loss.
Questions people ask
- Can I send it on the day itself?
- Yes. The link is live the moment you pay, and the game takes about two minutes to make, so a birthday you forgot until breakfast is still on time.
- Can I keep the message private?
- The message is inside the game, so only someone with the link sees it. Nobody but the two of you needs to have it.
- What photo works best?
- A clear head-and-shoulders shot on a plain background. Selfies are fine. Group photos are not, since we cut out one person.
- Can I change it after publishing?
- You can edit the lines and message from the same device you made it on. Sprites are fixed once published.
