A Christmas game starring your wife

A wife at Christmas is the person who made Christmas happen, and the boss should be the thing she fought to do it: the dinner, the shopping list, the family calendar. Her face on the hero, wine glasses for weapons, and taunts from the year you had.

Give it after the dinner is done and everyone has been fed. The win message is the thanks, with confetti. Order the printed postcard by mid-December if you want a real card to hand over.

Example: Priya vs The Christmas Dinner, playing itself. Tap to take over. Yours has their face and your jokes.

Bosses that work for a wife

  • The Laundry Mountain · it never gets smaller and it is never hers
  • The Calendar · the boss that runs the house
  • The School Run · a boss fight every weekday at 8:10

Jokes that land

Three inside jokes become the taunts. For a wife, think the holiday we never talk about, the wine glass that was definitely not the last one, or the way she says my name when the bins have not gone out. You can rewrite every line.

Start with a photo

Free to make and play. $9.99 only when you send the link.

On the day

Put the QR code in the card under the tree, or in the cracker, and let them scan it at the table with everyone watching. For a stocking, the printed postcard is the physical version: game on the front, your note and a scan-to-play code on the back, posted to a US or Canadian address. Order by mid-December to be safe.

The photo

A photo she likes of herself. That matters more than lighting. Straight on, no sunglasses, and the background can be anything.

Difficulty

Normal takes a few tries, which is the point. Easy if they are likely to give up after one loss.

Questions people ask

Will it work on Christmas morning on the family wifi?
The game is small and runs in the phone browser. Once the link has opened it keeps playing without a connection, so a slow one only delays the first load.
Can I keep the message private?
The message is inside the game, so only someone with the link sees it. Nobody but the two of you needs to have it.
What photo works best?
A clear head-and-shoulders shot on a plain background. Selfies are fine. Group photos are not, since we cut out one person.
Can I change it after publishing?
You can edit the lines and message from the same device you made it on. Sprites are fixed once published.
